I See/It Means

Be careful to note where your picture comes from. Make sure that it shows conditions in the United States. Look for the year or the photographer if using a photo. If you are not sure of the year but have a photographer's name, look it up: google it!

I was searching child labor images & laws, and kept finding the name of Lewis Hine. I knew that he had been a prominent photographer of the Great Depression in the 1930s. I just learned that he had also been around during the Progressive Era(1900-1917) taking photos as well. Lewis Hine was trying to raise public awareness of the conditions of factories and child labor.

These projects can be placed on your wikispace under a new wiki – titled “US History II”
With the navigation term – “Progressives” or could be printed out and handed in the 20th century way of learning.
